3 Perfect Days in Newport
Welcome to Rhode Island’s little 'City by the Sea!' Newport has drawn visitors internationally for decades thanks to its rich nautical history, the lore of the Gilded Age, and amazingly scenic landscapes.
Newport is perhaps best known for its mansions - the summer cottages for the ultra rich of the period between 1870 and 1900. America’s Cup Sailing also put Newport in the lime-light for over 130 years with exciting 12 Meter yachts racing until 1983 when the Australians took the cup down under.
Newport is a small city that is very easy to navigate, and the history has been beautifully preserved so you can see the mansions up close and personal and even take part in racing one of the beautiful 12 Meter yachts. Guests to the area enjoy the coastal charm, a community of culinary experts, and unique-to-Newport tours & outings, all centrally located along the coast. Known as 'the sailing capital of the world', Newport offers group activities amidst a breathtaking backdrop suited for a truly first-class experience.
